Roads & Sidewalks
The Public Works and Engineering Department is responsible for the engineering, permits and inspection, and maintenance of 151 miles of Town roads and sidewalks.
During winter months, the Department clears the snow from all Town-accepted roads as well as sidewalks around Town buildings and parks.
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Division operates and maintains the sanitary sewer system.

Trees
The Public Works Department is responsible to maintain, trim, and/or remove hazardous trees that are located on Town property.
To report a tree hazard on public property, contact the Department at 203 271-6650.
The Department also oversees all tree work in the Town Rights-of-Way performed by utility companies and private property owners.
