If you simply want to confirm that you are registered to vote, you can check the Secretary of the State's website.

 

Links to register to vote, change party affiliation, and inquire about absentee ballots online are available on this Elections Department section website. 

 

Voter registration is available ALL YEAR - if you are not registered, please see the Voter Registration page of this website or call the Elections Office for details (203) 271-6680.

If you are registering for the first time or changing your status and do not want to be affiliated with a political party, please check this box: "NO. I do not wish to enroll in a party at this time." If you write "Independent" on your form, you are telling us that you wish to register with the Independent Party (Connecticut has existing Independent and Independant parties)

When and Where to Vote

The polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. at all election events.

To determine where you vote, please see Districts and Poll Locations (note that certain address numbers on the same street may determine your district & polling place: A=all numbers; E=even numbers; O=odd numbers).

District 2:  Chapman School, 38 Country Club Road

District 3:  Artsplace, 1220 Waterbury Road

District 4:  Norton School Gym, 414 N. Brooksvale Road

Districts 5 & 5-3:  Doolittle School Gym, 735 Cornwall Avenue

District 6:  Highland School, 490 Highland Avenue

District 7:  Dodd Middle School, 100 Park Place

 Absentee Ballot Applications

In Connecticut all absentee ballot applications are available from Town Clerks (not the registrars) and returned to your Town Clerk's office.

Absentee ballot applications become available one month before elections. Visit the Town Clerk for an application or simply print one here, and mail it to:

Ballots will be mailed one month before the election. Please be sure to return your ballot as quickly as possible to insure a timely delivery. If you apply for a ballot in person at the Town Clerk's office, you may fill it out and submit it immediately.
